Project Update - ANM System goes live at Southern UK GSP Location

Advancing Grid Optimization for a Smarter, More Reliable Network


This Grid Supply Point (GSP) is a key part of the electricity network, ensuring reliable power distribution while supporting the transition to renewable energy. As the volume of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) continues to increase, optimizing their operation is essential to maintaining grid stability and maximizing clean energy utilization.


To address these challenges, The Client, in collaboration with ZIV UK Ltd. and Silicon Grid, has deployed an advanced centralized optimization engine as part of the Constellation ANM platform, delivered through ZIV’s Twin Grid Platform. This powerful solution ensures real-time network balancing, enhances grid reliability, and unlocks greater renewable energy capacity while seamlessly integrating with the Client’s ADMS system.


Optimizing the GSP for Maximum Efficiency


The project's grid environment requires a robust real-time optimization system that:

Continuously monitors and balances supply and demand to maintain network stability.

Optimizes DER operating positions to enable the highest possible renewable generation.

Integrates directly with the Client’s ADMS system, managing all controllable network devices.

Detects and mitigates data quality issues automatically, ensuring reliable, high-accuracy grid operation.


The Constellation Platform, utilizing DERCS (Control) and DEROS (Optimise), provides real-time network-wide control and optimization, enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the rapid deployment of clean energy solutions.


New Functional Upgrades: Smarter Data, Greater Reliability


In addition to real-time DER optimization, the GSP deployment includes new functional enhancements that improve system accuracy and reliability. The upgraded platform now features automated data quality detection and mitigation capabilities, significantly improving decision-making and operational stability.

Ensures higher accuracy in network data, reducing errors and improving grid insights.✔ Prevents false constraint detection, ensuring that DERs are only curtailed when necessary.✔ Enhances overall system performance, reducing downtime and operational inefficiencies.

By deploying ZIV’s Twin Grid Platform powered by Silicon Grid’s Constellation technology, The Client is setting a new standard in real-time grid optimization.
